Peek Inside the Horror

“Why in the world would you want to illustrate a book about online meetings, of all things?”

― a well-meaning advice giver upon hearing the early concept for Surviving the Horror of Online Meetings

The simple answer to that question was, “Because Mark Monlux agreed to do the illustrations.”

Mark Monlux is the wizard behind the illustrations of Surviving the Horror of Online Meetings.

Mark is the amazingly talented illustrator of Surviving the Horror of Online Meetings. I met Mark through common friends and interests in the International Forum of Visual Practitioners, the association of visual facilitators and graphic recorders that we’re both members of. But it wasn’t until after he released his deck of Obscure Movie Monster playing cards in 2017 that we discovered our shared love of campy monster movies. When I started work on Surviving the Horror of Online Meetings, there was never any question that Mark was the right illustrator to bring the book to life.

Thaaaat’s right: Mark illustrated the entire book. He did such a fabulous job that I wanted to show off more of his hard work here.
